Mondelez International: Adam Ravenscroft - Careers case study

Adam Ravenscroft is an Engineering Apprentice at Bournville the home of Cadbury and 2014 FDF Apprentice of the Year

Adam says: “I was always interested in having a hands on job and engineering was definitely something I wanted to do when I saw the range of job opportunities out there for people with those skills. I've learned really quickly and have been able to get involved in exciting projects.”

Adam Ravencroft“I was absolutely delighted to be named the Food and Drink Apprentice of the Year in 2014. I've learnt so much over the past three years and I'm keen to encourage other young people to join the food and drink industry and consider the exciting opportunities an apprenticeship has to offer. That's why I'm proud to be an engineer.”

After studying Medical Science at University he worked for Severn Trent. He then moved into the Food And Drink Industry. His father had worked at Cadbury for 30 years and his brother was in the second year of his apprenticeship scheme at Mondelez International.

Qualifications: NVQ level 2 in performing engineering operations, NVQ level 3 in engineering maintenance, BTEC level 3 in electrical and electronic engineering. Currently in the final year of a Foundation Degree in electrical and electronic control engineering.
