Case study: Midlands Co-op Dairies
The Midlands Co-op Dairies has engaged its employees' imaginations and enhanced
their work life through actively encouraging their participation in numerous
charity fundraising and community focused initiatives.
The company has supported a wide variety of activities including:
- a 961 mile bike ride from Land's End to John O'Groats which raised a £12,000 for
Marie Curie Cancer Care
- the Good Neighbours Award, which encourages the local community to nominate
'Good Neighbours' who have made a difference to the lives of others, and
- working with Age Concern to raise people's awareness of its Fight the Freeze
campaign, which provides advice for older people on how to keep healthy and warm
through the winter months.
These initiatives ran in 2005.
