The Euro Science Open Forum (ESOF) is Europe's largest, general science meeting. Ths year Dublin City of Science will host ESOF 2012 from July 11th-15th. To celebrate this prestigious international event, Teagasc, in partnership with University College Dublin, Bord Bia – the Irish Food Board, and Dublin Institute of Technology, will host a Harvest of Irish Food, to showcase the unique combination of Irish food culture and tradition with the best of food science and technology in Ireland. The Harvest of Irish Food event will take place July 10th in advance of the main ESOF conference.

Through a tour of three sites: Teagasc (the Irish Agriculture & Food Development Authority) in Ashtown, University College Dublin (UCD) in Belfield and the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in Cathal Brugha Street, you will experience the best of Irish food and current food science and technology research.

This unique event will open your eyes to the breadth and depth of food research taking place in Ireland and will highlight the quality of sustainable Irish food being produced throughout the island of Ireland.
