As part of FDF's Apprenticeship Pledge, we are raising awareness amongst food manufacturers of the
benefits apprentices can bring to their businesses by rolling out a series of
regional road shows across England and Scotland.
These workshops are designed
to assist food businesses who want to understand the business benefits of
apprenticeships or who are interested in expanding their existing activity.
Our event in Edinburgh will have speakers from the Scotland Food and Drink
Skills Academy
and Skills Development Scotland who will give food
manufacturers advice on how to get the most from apprenticeships.
We will also hear from Devro (UK) Ltd who will be sharing their experiences in
setting up and growing their apprenticeship programme alongside two modern
apprentices
giving us the low down on their new careers.
The event will finish with a panel discussion chaired by Alan Clarke, Chief
Executive of Scottish Bakers.
