Employer Ownership of Skills (EOS) Fund Workshop
Back to events
30 January 2013
Event, Room 1, Catherine Street
FDF's Competitiveness Steering Group is currently considering the possibility of
developing a second phase to FDF's highly successful Apprenticeship Pledge,
trebling the number of apprenticeships offered across the sector. Members
agreed
that there could be an opportunity to develop an industry standard
apprenticeship
programme and focus on higher-level apprenticeships.
The Government's Employer Ownership of Skills (EOS) fund encourages
collaboration between groups of employers to tackle significant problems in
their sector
and/or supply chain. The Government is particularly keen for proposals that aim
to
raise skills, create jobs, and drive enterprise and economic growth.
The next round of bidding opened in late 2012. FDF will therefore host a
meeting with the National Skills Academy for food and drink on Wednesday 30th
January
from 10.30 – 13.00 at FDF offices in London to discuss possible ideas for a
food
industry bid under the EOS fund. We are calling on members to participate in
this workshop.
