If you are looking to boost your career in food and drink, join us for our first Future Leaders event for tips on how to get ahead and grow into that first management role or leadership team position.

Three inspirational speakers, at different levels of their careers, within some of the best-known brands will be sharing their recipes for success and how they have progressed careers within a competitive sector.

This informal event includes a networking reception with the chance to speak with industry peers and make new contacts. This all takes place at one of London's most exclusive spaces, not usually open to the public, The Victorian Bath House.

Dame Fiona Kendrick DBE

Dame Fiona Kendrick DBEFiona Kendrick, former Chairman and CEO of Nestlé UK&I, is Deputy Chair of the Institute for Apprenticeships Board and Chair of the new University of Hereford for Engineers. Fiona also sits on the Food & Drink Sector Council and is part of the PWC Advisory Committee.

Having started her career initially in teaching, Fiona joined Nestlé UK in 1980 in a commercial role, and spent her working life with Nestlé in key strategic roles in the UK market as well as at global level. Fiona led Nestlé's global coffee business for 5 years in Switzerland.

Fiona has a personal passion for the youth employment and skills agenda, and has led a number of lighthouse projects in this area both for Industry and Government.

Fiona was a UK Commissioner for Employment and Skills and played a lead role in supporting the development and delivery of strategies for skills and employment across the four UK nations.

Fiona was President of the Food and Drink Federation, the association that represents the UK food and drink manufacturing industry (2015-2017). She previously led the F&D sector's skills and competitiveness agenda and co-chaired the UK Food and Drink Export Forum.

In the 2015 New Year's Honors' list Fiona was created Dame Commander of the British Empire for services to the food industry and support for skills and opportunities for young people.

In recognition of services to the food and drink industry and young people's employment and skills, Fiona has been awarded honorary degrees by Sheffield Hallam University, York University and Warwick University.

Fiona has been awarded the Chartered Management Institute Gold Medal for Leadership 2017.


Anisa Missaghi, Head of External Communications, UK & Ireland, pladis

Anisa MissaghiAnisa leads the UK corporate, brand and trade communication strategy for pladis UK&I and in 2017 was awarded European Young Communicator at the European Association of Communications Directors in Brussels. Prior to joining pladis (the parent company behind McVitie's. Flipz, go ahead! and Carr's), Anisa led digital at the FTSE international infrastructure Group, Balfour Beatty.

Previous to that, Anisa spent her early career in the transport and logistics industry with CEVA Logistics international in Amsterdam where she had a global remit across internal and external communications. She is the founder of 'unplugged' an initiative created to inspire and empower individuals to focus on their personal brand and harness the sharing of personal insight, values and culture in the workplace and is co-chairing the Being Me programme at pladis focusing on Inclusion and Diversity.


Chloe Dwyer, Customer Business Manager - Nisa Confectionery, Nestlé

Anisa MissaghiChloe has worked at Nestlé for four and a half years having started on the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship. The first three years of her time at Nestlé was spent studying for her BA (Hons) degree in Professional Business Practice at Sheffield Hallam University alongside doing six month placements in Sales, Marketing, HR and Supply Chain at Nestlé.

Chloe decided after two years of placements to specialise within the Sales function where she started out as the Customer Business Executive for Morrisons Confectionery. She graduated University in November 2017 with a first Class Honours and shortly after this moved into the role of Online and Digital Manager for Nestlé Beverages with focus customers of Asda and Morrisons. As of April 2019 Chloe will be in a new role as the Customer Business Manager for Nisa within our Confectionery business.
