FDF Event

The Art of a Successful Crowdfund

Closed

In partnership with Northern Monk, Northern Bloc, Lean Lunch and The Thinking Agency, Irwin Mitchell is delighted to invite you to a thought-provoking evening of networking and discussion on the pros and cons of Crowdfunding as a source of finance.

Primarily aimed at those operating in the food and drink community, there will be no Crowdfunding platforms trying to sell to you, and there will be no lawyers telling you how best to structure a campaign (unless you ask).

Instead, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from (and question) senior leaders of fast growing Northern businesses who have recently run, or helped others to run, Crowdfunding campaigns.  Each will tell their own unique story and share what they have learned about how to ensure a successful raise, including the importance of creating a strong brand identity and emotional connection to your brand, and inspiring and mobilising your investors as your ambassadors.  The point of this event is to address the all-important question: how do you attract a crowd and make them cheer?!

The interactive session will also provide the opportunity to explore and discuss key benefits associated with Crowdfunding that businesses often don’t consider when looking to raise finance:

1.     More efficient and more effective method of fundraising

2.     A place to build traction, social proof and validation

3.     Opportunity for crowdsourced brainstorming to refine your idea

4.     Ability to on board early adopters and loyal advocates

5.     Marketing, media exposure and capturing new investor interest

Not only all that, but..…you’ll also have the opportunity to sample some of the North’s finest craft beer, ice cream and healthy/nutritious food from the businesses you’ll be hearing from!

We hope you can join us for what should be an engaging but relaxed workshop session.
