FDF has made a submission to the House of Lords' European Union Committee in
response to its public inquiry on the Future of the EU's Common Agricultural
Policy (CAP). The Committee's Inquiry will seek to feed into the European
Commission's “one vision, two steps” process. This two-stage process will
involve: an
adjustment to the CAP through the 'Health Check' due to be launched in the
first
quarter of 2008; and the mid-term review of the EU Budget in 2009, which will
deliver the EU's vision of a new CAP post-2013.
