Small Business Membership

Why join FDF

When you are a small business, making the best use of your time and resources is key. FDF can help you, providing expert technical and regulatory advice on your food and drink products, practical guidance on changing your recipes to meet new Government targets, identifying export markets and areas for growth and keeping you up to date with food safety issues.

Our professional affiliates, who are professional services members of FDF, can also help you with practical advice on running your business through our events and webinars. For example, help with choosing the right insurance, advice on protecting your trade marks and IP, cyber security and labelling. There's also member rates on a range of FDF events and training.

We've launched a new membership scheme for small businesses like yours.

Key points

This membership is open to UK food and drink manufacturing companies with turnovers between £2-10million for a flat fee of £500+VAT and will initially be piloted for a year. This membership has restrictions and is not the equivalent of a full FDF membership. Please see full terms and conditions available on application. Companies with turnovers of less than £2m can still pay based on turnover for full membership.

*Calls to the helpline are limited to three calls per year per member. FDF can only advise on issues relevant to its remit but may be able to help signpost to other organisations which may charge. Please see further details below.

** Two FDF affiliate members have offered free initial consultations and advice as part of this small business membership arrangement. These are BRIFFA and Square Mile Broking, and services are outlined in separate terms and conditions.
