Adelie Food Group, apetito, Border Biscuits, Burton's Biscuit Company, Cargill, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca Cola Great Britain, General Mills, Kelloggs, Mars Food, Mars Chocolate UK, Midlands Co-operative, Morrisons, Nestlè, Thorntons Budgens, Typhoo, Unilever, United Biscuits, Warners Retail Ltd, William Jackson Food Group and Wrigley's.

Alongside, the CPA's established categories of: Apprentice of the Year, Education, Environment, Good Employer, Health and Wellbeing and Local Community, the new categories for 2012 are: Export Success of the Year, Growing Business of the Year and Developing Skills for the Future – a category dedicated to innovative recruitment and retention activities.

All winners will be announced at a prestigious luncheon at the Globe Theatre, London on Wednesday 24 October 2012

Commenting on the judging of the Awards, John Stevenson MP said:
“This year was the toughest judging session I have been involved with. The standard of entries was very high and it has been hard to whittle down almost 50 entries to around 20 shortlisted contenders for gold, silver and bronze awards. As well as concentrating on their core business, these companies have also been developing groundbreaking projects in their communities and amongst their own workforce. I was also hugely encouraged to see the volume of entries for the apprentice of the year; developing skills and education categories which shows the work that is being done to train and up- skill people throughout the industry and bring forward the next generation of scientists and engineers that we need in food and drink manufacturing.”
