FDF responds to new product placement regulations

PRESS RELEASE
Responding to the introduction of new product placement legislation, Julian
Hunt, FDF's Director of Communications, says:
“We have not pushed for the introduction of paid-for product placement in TV
programmes and we are concerned that, in response to lobbying by broadcasters,
Ministers are now proposing to create a complex two-tier regulatory system for
food
and drink products. If Government is keen to introduce paid-for product
placement, why not use the UK's existing strict system of advertising
regulations?
