FDF response to consultation on FSA data sharing policy

December 2015

The FSA's data sharing policy aims to facilitate lawful, efficient and fair data sharing, between the FSA and other organisations, with an emphasis on putting the interests of the consumer first and maintaining a presumption of openness when data sharing.

Its development is set against the backdrop of broad calls, including from Government, for increased data sharing to unlock the social and scientific value of data held. The policy is primarily intended for use by FSA employees and is part of a broader move to streamline the governance of data flows into and out of the FSA.
