Comment by the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) on the National Minimum Wage
Consultation.
The Food and Drink Federation is the principal representative organisation for
companies in the UK food and drink manufacturing industry, which has some
440,000
employees.
Issues relating to the National Minimum Wage are of great importance to us in
maintaining our industry's competitive advantage. FDF's evidence to the Low Pay
Commission (LPC) is based on consultation with representatives from member
companies, facilitated through FDF's Employment and Skills Committee.
Our views in response to the latest consultation exercise are given below.
