Installation environmental permits are common in the food and drink sector as well as many other industrial and manufacturing sectors. Installation environmental permits are one of the more comprehensive and complex environmental laws facing manufacturing businesses, and they typically require significant resources to manage over their lifetime.

This course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the regulatory framework for installation environmental permits. This course will set out the main activities occurring on food and drink sites that may require an installation environmental permit. It will then set out the approach for applying for or varying a permit and practical steps to manging compliance with the permit conditions. The course will be useful for delegates new to environmental law wishing to gain an initial understanding, but will also be useful for other personnel in the organisation to understand the complexity of this law, and its influence on the operational and strategic objectives of the organisation.
