Dr Andrew Coburn, Founder and Chairman, Risilience

Andrew is a Founder and Chairman of Risilience, a leading climate risk and analytics software provider that supports global organizations to build strategic resilience and grow business value in the era of climate disruption and economic uncertainty. Andrew is acknowledged as a leader in business science and risk, and has worked with many leading food producers, retailers, and suppliers on optimizing future growth strategies and food supply security plans. Andrew has published widely and retains a position of Chief Scientific Advisor at Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies, Judge Business School in the University of Cambridge.

Professor Pete Falloon, Met Office’s Science Lead – Food Security

Professor Pete Falloon (FRMetS, FRSA) is the Met Office’s Science Lead – Food Security, and leads the Met Office’s Climate Service for Defra on Food, Farming and Natural Environment. Pete has over 30 years of experience in the impacts of climate and land use change on food systems and the environment. Pete has been at the Met Office Hadley Centre since 2004 and led the Climate Impacts Modelling team from 2009-2019. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and of the Royal Meteorological Society, a contributing author to the UK’s Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) and was a member of the Global Food Security Programme’s Programme Coordination Group board from 2013-2023. Pete is also Professor of Climate Resilient Food Systems at the University of Bristol, Sustainability Director for Food Drink Devon CIC and an Honorary Associate at the Walker Institute.

Sophie Bauer - Head of Food System Transformation, WWF-UK

Sophie leads WWF's corporate engagement with the food sector, working with major UK retailers on climate, deforestation and habitat conversion, sustainable agriculture, healthy and sustainable diets, marine, packaging and food waste. Her work seeks to embed climate and nature into everyday commercial decision-making, identifying best-practice approaches to reduce the environmental impact of food supply chains. Before joining WWF, Sophie worked on international agri-food strategy at DEFRA and in media and communications at Dialogue Earth, focusing on agri-food commodity supply chains.

Ian Rigby - UK Procurement & Agro Director - PepsiCo

Ian Rigby is UK Procurement & Agro Director at PepsiCo, where he leads the UK agricultural agenda and commercial teams. With more than 30 years’ experience across engineering, supply chain, procurement and agriculture, he works with farmers and industry partners to drive productivity, resilience and sustainable farming practices.

Dr Liliana Danila - Chief Economist -  Food and Drink Federation

Dr Liliana Danila is Chief Economist at FDF, where she leads the organisation’s economic research, food inflation forecasting, and market analysis. She provides insight into the economic environment facing UK food and drink manufacturers, translating industry evidence and economic analysis into policy recommendations and engagement with government.

Before joining FDF, she spent four years as an economist at the British Retail Consortium and six years as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the American University of Sharjah in the UAE. She holds a PhD in Economics from Clemson University in the US.
