FDF is the umbrella body for the food and drink industry, bringing sector trade associations together as members to unite the industry behind a stronger, shared voice.
The sector trade associations are a trusted source of information for their members, providing technical and regulatory support across areas that require a deep understanding of the requirements to operate in these specialist areas of food and drink manufacturing.
From the Federation of Bakers to the Ice Cream Association, through to the Seasoning and Spice Association, the FDF and our members work across a range of sectors.

Association of Bakery Ingredient Manufacturers
The Association of Bakery Ingredient Manufacturers (ABIM) represents and promotes the interests of UK companies who manufacture and supply a range of quality ingredients to the baking industry.
British Oat & Barley Millers Association
The British Oat & Barley Millers Association (BOBMA) represents the interests of UK millers of oats and barley for human consumption, representing over 95% of the UK industry.
British Starch Industry Association
The British Starch Industry Association (BSIA) represents and promotes the common interests of UK Starch manufacturers.
Federation of Bakers Limited
Federation of Bakers Limited (FoB) is the trade association representing the UK’s largest bakery companies who produce sliced and wrapped bread, baked (morning goods) and other bread products.
Gluten Free Industry Association
The Gluten Free Industry Association (GFIA) represents and promotes the common interests of UK Gluten Free manufacturers.
Ice Cream Association
The Ice Cream Association represents the specific interests of the ice cream manufacturing industry, dealing with issues and impacts to the UK ice cream sector.
Seasoning and Spice Association
The Seasoning and Spice Association (SSA) is the voice of the UK seasoning and spice industry, promoting the interests of its members in all aspects of the import, processing and distribution of seasonings, herbs, spices and related products. SSA members represent 95% of the UKs labelled herb and spice products.

The UK Association of Producers of Yeast (UKAPY) is the trade association of the UK’s producers of yeast.
United Kingdom Tea & Infusions Association
The United Kingdom Tea & Infusions Association (UKTIA) works on behalf of the world’s major tea producing and exporting countries, UK tea packers and allied UK companies who support the
tea and herbal infusions supply chains, providing support and information of a technical, scientific and regulatory nature.
