MP's Choice Award – Food and Drink Manufacturer of the Year
The MP's Choice – Food and Drink Manufacturer of the Year Award is a celebration of the extraordinary small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that make up 97% of the UK’s food and drink manufacturing sector.
We're inviting Members of Parliament to shine a spotlight on the outstanding SME food and drink manufacturers in their constituencies, whose dedication not only fuels local economies but also helps shape a more sustainable future for the UK's food and drink sector.
Across every corner of our nation, at the heart of towns and villages, these remarkable businesses are driving the transition to environmental sustainability, developing pioneering technologies and healthier products, championing new talent, and embracing diversity. This industry is far more than just products on shelves; it is about the passionate entrepreneurs and skilled workers who create the safe, nutritious and affordable food and drink we enjoy every day.

Our 2025 winner – ChalkStream Foods
The Hampshire-based business beat stiff competition to be awarded the prize during a ceremony at the Houses of Parliament, after impressing judges with their work in bringing British trout back to the nation’s menus.
Nominated by local MP Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton North, ChalkStream was recognised for its commitment to restoring the trout farming industry and Hampshire’s Itchen and Test Rivers.
