CBD Group (CBD)

The FDF CBD group monitors topical issues impacting the CBD sector, including the novel food approval process. At CBD Group meetings, members have the opportunity to input their views and concerns and to represent their interests through links with FSA officials and other relevant stakeholders.

Committee purpose

The purpose of the committee is to:

  • Currently the group’s focus will be on monitoring the CBD approval process work for the CBD food and drink industry.
  • Monitor and developments of CBD status and share with members via circulars, updates and at group meetings.
  • Provide members with the opportunity to input their views and concerns and to represent their interests through links with relevant government and other bodies.

  • Keep up with regulation proposals and future information policy.
  • To liaise with and support where appropriate, other organisations with a common CBD food and drink interface: e.g. research, trade and other bodies.
