FDF membership

Louise Stigant: At Mondelez, we'd absolutely recommend FDF membership to anybody considering it. We've been a proud member of FDF, but also a proud manufacturer of food and drink in the UK for many, many years.

I think the footprint that the food and drink industry has in the UK helps support us make delicious food that all of our friends, family, and the wider population enjoy.

We are a better business for having the support of FDF in the small moments, but also in those large moments of very big transformational change in our industry.

From a day-to-day basis, FDF are really supportive on the regulatory environment that we're operating in, and help support our colleagues in understanding that, which importantly helps our business to understand it as well. For me that goes from everything from diet to health, but also to things like jobs, um, skills, etc.

Gerald Mason: If I was thinking about whether to join the FDF today, I would be thinking about the fact that the industry faces so many different pressures from lots of different types of new issues.

It's really hard to deal with that on my own as a company, no matter how many people I employ.

So I'd be looking for the strength in numbers and tapping into the expertise that there is in the FDF on a whole host of a wide range of issues that my business faces, that I could never, never do on my own.

I can categorically say that year after year, the money that we pay as a membership fee is far outweighed by the benefit that we get and the cost that we avoid in having to employ teams of very specialist experts ourselves in our own business.

Simon Cripps: FDF is this almost like rallying call. We surround FDF when we need answers, advice, and guidance. And that is a constant now and in the future.

With startup companies, when start-ups are  looking for advice and guidance, you immediately point them in the direction of FDF, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
