Navigating the regulatory environment for developing sustainable products

Sustainability is becoming increasingly crucial for all businesses, especially those in the food and drink sector. Beyond managing energy and water usage and minimising waste, food business operators must ensure their materials are sustainably sourced.

Looking ahead, sustainability legislation is evolving, with global governments adopting different approaches based on their unique political and economic considerations. This dynamic regulatory environment presents challenges related to traceability and reporting.

In the UK and EU, sustainability legislation is a key focus within the food industry, potentially impacting the entire supply chain, from farm to fork. The industry is being pushed towards detailed data reporting, meeting packaging recyclability requirements, and responding to growing consumer demands for product sustainability.

In this webinar, Ashbury will explore various legislative considerations for food businesses and practical steps you need to take. The session will also examine the impact of the dynamic regulatory environment on developing external business communications and product-specific claims.
