
The University of York is one of the leading Russell Group Universities in the UK supporting innovative impact-driven interdisciplinary research such as STFC Food Network+ (SFN+). With 1500+ members, SFN+ is building an interdisciplinary community of researchers, industry and policy makers working to provide a sustainable, secure, safe, equitable, nutritious, and affordable high-quality food using less land, with reduced inputs, and in the context of global climate change and declining natural resources. SFN+ funds projects that put STFC capabilities to work in the Agri-food industry. Founded in 2017, the SFN has funded more than 85 collaborative projects addressing crucial agri-food challenges in 25 countries (including the UK and countries across Asia and Africa) until 2022.
