In July 2021, The Department for Education (DfE) launched a consultation on the Government’s investment in the National Skills Fund, which was announced as part of the Plan for Jobs. The National Skills Fund is the programme for lifelong learning and offering opportunities for adults to train/retrain over the course of their careers. Responses to this consultation will help shape what is funded through NSF investment. This consultation closed on 17 September 2021.

On 17 September 2021, the FDF in partnership with the National Manufacturing Task Force submitted their response to the Department for Education Consultation on the National Skills Fund was submitted for DfE's consideration. Read the final submission
