Topics

In April 2023, graze launched Peri Peri crunch, a bold and exciting flavour to drive taste perceptions and deliver an on-trend flavour into the nuts category.

graze have also continued to deliver excitement and variety into their subscription range by launching 2 new sweet and 2 new savoury high in fibre snacks.

The objective of graze’s packaging redesign was to reinforce taste perceptions and health messages as well as improving visibility on shelf and their sustainability credentials.
When working on the development of Peri peri crunch the first challenge was to perfect the flavour balance. graze worked through numerous rounds of development to get the right combination of chilli, lemon and herb notes. Once the seasoning was perfected, they applied it to crunchy peas, broad beans and corn, to deliver a high fibre product with 3 x more fibre than crisps*.

graze also innovated within their Direct to Consumer subscription range and launched 4 high in fibre products (Sour Cream & Onion Crunch, Almond Mocha, Pesto Almond Crunch and Chocolate Peanut Brittle). These new sweet and savoury snack mixes use combinations of whole crunchy vegetables, nuts and seeds to deliver the high fibre content.
Peri Peri crunch received great ratings and reviews after launch on retailer websites (average 4.5 stars out of 5).

So tasty – 21st June 2023
Loved these, so tasty I was pleasantly surprised at the full flavours and the crunch. Hard to believe this was peas and sweetcorn I would rather enjoy this than a bag of crisps much tastier and healthy.”

graze Peri Peri Crunch also won Top Launch of the Year for the Bagged Snacks category in The Grocer’s Top Products 2023 report.
