Webinar: Marketing of Food and Drink Products and Recent Decisions from the Advertising Standards Authority

Presented by Carlton Daniel and Lucy Hopman of Squire Patton Boggs, this webinar will examine the legislative and regulatory framework governing the content of advertisements in the UK.  The speakers will also delve into the CAP Code and BCAP Code rules which are most applicable to the food and drink industry, including those pertaining to products that are high in fat, salt or sugar. Consequences of non-compliance, enforcement procedures and recent and topical decisions from the Advertising Standards Authority are also on the agenda.

Carlton Daniel advises on intellectual property rights, commercial contracts and consumer regulatory law.  He has a particular focus on providing advertising and marketing advice to a range of clients, including those in the food and drink sector.  Carlton deals regularly with regulators such as the Advertising Standards Authority, trading standards and the Competitions and Markets Authority in relation to consumer law and advertising matters.

Lucy Hopman also counsels clients on intellectual property and commercial and consumer law matters, with a focus on providing copy and brand clearance advice in relation to all forms of advertising and marketing.
