Mondelēz International: Cadbury Delights

In January 2023, as part of Mondelēz International’s commitment to grow its portfolio and offer consumers greater lower calorie options without compromising on texture or taste, Cadbury launched its new under-100 calorie Cadbury Delights range.
Developed by food scientists and nutritionists at Mondelēz International’s Research and Development Global Centre for Excellence in Bournville and sold in three flavours – Salted Caramel, Orange & Caramel, and Hazelnut & Caramel – each Cadbury Delights bar contains a soft nougat filling and caramel layer coated in Cadbury chocolate.
Available in multipacks containing five bars, each individual bar contains just 91 calories, reinforcing Mondelēz International’s commitment to ensure that all Cadbury chocolate bars sold within multipacks are under 200 calories. Each bar is also labelled with BeTreatwise messaging, promoting portion control and making it easier for consumers looking for lower calorie options within the chocolate category.
The launch of Cadbury Delights was amplified through a new ‘Unbelievably True’ creative campaign which ran across digital and audio to drive mass awareness, complemented with PR activity and sampling to drive trial of the range. The consumer response has been overwhelmingly positive online, with further plans to grow this platform in 2024.
