FDF Webinar

Fibre’s Moment: Turning Trends Into Action

Join us this Fibre February for an update on FDF’s Action on Fibre initiative and a spotlight on how companies and key partners are working to bridge the fibre gap, in light of the growing popularity of fibre with consumers.

A diet high in fibre has a range of benefits, from improvements in digestive health, reduction in the risk of certain types of cancer, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease like stroke, and may also play a role in weight management.

Despite this, dietary intakes of fibre in the UK have remained consistently low across all age groups and demographics, due to a lack of awareness of how much fibre we need and a common misconception that fibre is bland, boring and only good for digestive health.

However, this may all be set to change. Fibre has been steadily growing in popularity over the past few years, with many saying ‘fibre is the new protein’. Join this webinar to hear from a range of expert speakers on how market trends are gearing towards greater recognition of the benefits a high fibre diet brings and how the food industry is responding.
