Premier Foods launch Mr Kipling Lunchbox Slices & Batchelors Air-Dried Supernoodles
In 2025, Premier Foods continued to champion healthier choices by developing and launching 63 new products formulated to be a source of fibre, high in fibre, or to deliver a source of fibre per portion. Together, these innovations added 76 tonnes of fibre to the UK diet over the year, reflecting the growing consumer demand for nutritious, convenient products.
A standout success came from Mr Kipling, which expanded its healthier cake range with the introduction of Lunchbox Approved Slices. Available in three flavours - orange, raspberry and banana - the slices were created specifically for health‑conscious consumers seeking balance without compromising on taste. Each variety provides more than 5g of fibre per 100g and is classified as non‑HFSS, meeting Government HFSS regulations as well as sugar, calorie and salt targets for cakes. Since launching in June 2025, the range has contributed 9.5 tonnes of fibre to the UK diet, offering a healthier alternative to standard cakes while still delivering the signature Mr Kipling taste and quality.
Batchelors also strengthened its better‑for‑you portfolio with the relaunch of its Low Fat Supernoodles, now introduced as Air‑Dried Not Fried Supernoodles. Available in three iconic flavours - Chicken, Curry and BBQ Beef - the new range builds on the already non‑HFSS credentials of Batchelors’ standard Supernoodles. Our air‑dried noodles provide more than 3g of fibre per 100 calories, classifying them as high in fibre, whilst also offering a source of protein and remaining low in fat, saturated fat and sugar. This relaunch reflects Premier Foods’ commitment to offering healthier, great‑tasting products across its diverse portfolio.
