Climate-Related Financial Disclosure, Climate Change Risk Assessments and Global Water Scarcity

13 October 2022

Many companies are still early in their Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting journey and our experience has shown they often need the most help with understanding climate scenarios and quantifying the financial impacts of climate change. As an example, water is essential to the production and delivery of nearly all goods and services and yet we are set to experience a 56% shortfall in global freshwater by 2030 (WRI), due to the combination of decreasing availability and declining water quality. This disparity between supply and demand for water means that water scarcity is starting to materialise for companies and their investors.

In this webinar we will run through our model for supporting companies with TCFD and present a recent case study working with a $450bn asset manager to better understand the climate change risks to several key locations in their UK infrastructure portfolio using forward-looking climate data. We will also discuss how we can go beyond ESG with assessing and pricing water risks.

This webinar will cover:

• How to meet TCFD reporting requirements;
• Climate Change Risk Assessments; and
• Beyond Environmental, Social and Governance – Global Water Scarcity.
